2014: PAALS is sponsoring a conference in Columbia, SC to provide information and training about using service dogs in Animal Assisted Therapy.

Unleash the Possibilities Conference is for professionals and students who are interested in learning about the use of service dogs in Animal Assisted Therapy. The courses presented over the three days will cover a wide range of topics concerning Animal Assisted Intervention and Animal Assisted Therapy. The cost for all three courses is $225 ($100 for students). Single day courses can also be purchased for a lower cost.
The presenter will be Melissa Winkle (OTR/L). Melissa is the President of Animal Assisted Intervention International and the Animal Humane New Mexico’s Warm Hearts Networks. Her practice in Albuquerque, NM (Dogwood Therapy Services, Inc.) offers client centered occupational therapy in clinical, integrated community settings and corrections facilities.
