Team Training Graduation and Puppy Matriculation Ceremony

When: Saturday August 13th, 2011, 11 am
Where: Radiant Life Assembly of God, 8151 Clarcona Ocoee Road, Orlando, FL 32818

Exceptional Dogs for Exceptional People

The graduation ceremony for the Southeast Regional Center of Canine Companions for Independence is an emotional and inspiring event where people with disabilities receive their new highly trained assistance dogs.

The dogs, which are provided free of charge, have been in training for more than two-years and know approximately 50 commands to help with tasks that will enable people to lead a more independent life.

Graduation follows an intensive two-week “Team Training” course where the recipients learn all of the dog’s commands and how to care for the dog.

In addition, the ceremony also includes a puppy matriculation, an event where puppies are turned in by the volunteer puppy raisers to begin their advanced training.

The ceremony is free and open to the public.
