whine

Sorry if this was already asked. I am new here. I bought a 2014 corolla le eco plus with 5000 miles on it. My steering wheel is making a whine. I only notice or when I'm backing out of a spot or slow or stopped. I saw a video about using white grease to lubricate it buy my car only has 5000...
